Helping others is not something to be bragged about or broadcast; it spontaneously

flows from one’s nature.

被助的人,有受與不受的權利;

However, those who are helped have to right to accept or reject the help offered to them.

Therefore, one should not force others to accept the help he/she offers

and thus hurt each other’s feelings.

Rather, one should calmly reflect and deepen one’s understanding of oneself

and the one who tries to offer some help.

The existence of the hands of human beings is for the purpose of working.

多少人卻不願用來掃地,除草,做家務;

However, so many people are reluctant to use their hands

to sweep the floor, to mow the lawn, or to do the household chores.

They regard such employment of their hands as a kind of humiliation or condescension.

Nevertheless, it probably never occurs to them that

When they hurt or lose their hands,

They would take a vow never to fail their hands again by not making good use of them

if they are able to regain their hands or make a full recovery from the injury.

挨餓之時,但求能夠吃飽;

When one is weak with hunger, one will have no other thought than satisfy one’s hunger.

Once one is relieved from the pain of hunger, he/she will try to satisfy all sorts of desires.

The burning of sundry desires will trouble one much more than the pain of hunger.
