菩薩，是一種處於迷惑環境中，

A Bodhisattva is one who resides in an environment full of delusions

一直督促自己轉迷惑而成覺悟，

And yet strives in full strength to get himself/herself fully enlightened

竭力行於覺(佛)道的人。

By constantly urging himself/herself to turn all delusions into enlightenment.

凡事都得有個開始，

If one wishes to accomplish something, he/she needs to start from somewhere.

欲有開始，少不了毅然地跨出往前行的第一步；

To make a start, one has to resolutely take the first step of striding forward.

當然，緊接著的是難免不了的道途上的障礙，

Naturally, there will inevitably be some obstacles in the following steps.

無論是阻撓，困擾，或者是其他一些意想不到的，

These obstacles, whether they are obstructive, puzzling, or totally unexpected,

但是，歸究起來，

To concisely categorize them,

不外是煩惱與所知的範圍。

Are either the obstacles of the defilements of the mind or the obstacles of the delusions of the mind.

興趣，是行程中的動力；

Deep interest is the power to run the course of any events or projects.

熱忱，是行程中的資糧；

Enthusiasm is the fuel to sustain the running of the course.

理想，是行程中的方向；

Ideals steer the direction of the course.

興趣加熱忱加理想，

One has to bring deep interest, enthusiasm and ideals together

才能完成佛法中的一個「願」字。

In order to take a vow in practicing Buddhism.

有了願，才有道路，才有目標，

Only after taking (Bodhisattva) vows can one find a path or targets in practicing Buddhism.

才能達到究竟的生命的真、善、美的境地。

This is the only way to lead one to the attainment of the true, the good and the beautiful of life.
