In times of adversities, one should display one’s willpower and fighting spirit.

不逆不順境中，

In times that are neither adverse nor favorable to one,

One should try incessantly to clear away all the clogs on one’s thoughts and deeds.

雲起無意於洪水的製造，

Clouds are not formed to produce floods or a deluge.

雨降原為滋潤大地萬物的生長；

Rain falls to moisturize the earth so that all forms of life can grow.

普照的陽光，有意溫暖眾生的身心，

The all-pervasive sunshine warms the bodies and hearts of many creatures.

卻從沒有想到會灼傷多少不能自主的生命。

However, it sometimes inadvertently scorches many forms of life

      which have no way to evade its blaze.

今天也就是昨天，

Today is turning into yesterday minute by minute.

明天卻不是今天；

Tomorrow is still hours away for us to call it “today.”

把握了今天，擁有昨天，

If we make good use of today, we will be able to keep all our yesterdays.

錯過了今天，失去明天；

If we squander today, we will also easily throw away tomorrow.

即使是現在、過去、未來，
